
Real Life: Lucky enough to spend my childhood in Lyme Regis generally messing around in boats and sailing Mirror’s, GP14’s and Wayfarers. I have since owned many craft, both power and sail, and currently have a share in a Beneteau 40.7. I now reside in Ocean Village, Southampton, and have interests in a small charter business (Activ Power and Sail Ltd) and a fuel technology business in the Automotive sector, G-volution Ltd.
Clubs: Royal Southampton Yacht Club.
ISAF/RYA Qualifications: Regional Mark Layer; CRO+; Yachtmaster Offshore; Powerboat and Safety Boat Instructor; Bermuda Marine Board Pilot (A&B); First aid; VHF/DSC.
Race Management Experience: 5 years mainly mark laying but also as part of the race management team on the committee boat.
Course configurations - windward/leeward, trapezoid and round the cans. Disciplines include dinghies, Olympic Classes, boards and keelboats.
Major Events: As mark layer - Laser Masters World Championships 2010; Olympic Test Event 2011; ISAF Sailing World Cup Events x 2 (Sail for Gold, 2010-2011); National Championships x 4 (including Irish Cruiser Racing Association, Ireland 2009); Hamble Winter Series 2009-2011.
Sailing and Racing Experience: Every thing from Mirror's to windsurfer boards to keelboats, currently competing in the RSYC Double Handed Inshore and Offshore series (keelboats).
